From 9 am – 5 pm, we will be playing (as in on instruments, not on the stereo) an eight-hour open-source acoustic version of theVelvet Underground’s “Sister Ray” (aka Sister REH), while Tarkovsky’s “Andrei Rublev” is projected over the musicians.

The idea is that we keep it going all day by having musicians join for as long as they would like, with a constantly changing cast of performers. People can play for a while, leave, come back… We just keep the song going. We’re looking for guitarists, singers, pianists, drummers, horn players, anyone who is interested. Chords and lyrics will be posted, and improvisation is most definitely encouraged.

Also, we will have snacks.

So please come if you can (it will be incredible and you’ll remember it for the rest of your life). Forward this email to anyone you know you think might be interested- for the purposes of this event, everyone is a musician. We will have some instruments, but feel free to bring anything you think will make a great (and not super loud) noise. Also, if you write, being any lyrics you would like to sing.

See you soon!
